Shit Brickhouse

There's little nurture in my nature
None of my flags resemble peace
Everything I try to better
Starts to break and become weak
Now I've been making it my own way
Found there's no worse kind of defeat
Than laying all your bricks up
To find you can't afford concrete
We all wanted a different life
One we can't provide
Out the gates with invisible brands
Products of class divide
We still have such struggles to face
One resolves another takes its place
When The flock bombarded with rain
We'll huddle together and wait
For it long as it takes
Hold on for as long as it takes
Still targeted for past mistakes
In the eye of the storm blinded by interest rates
On the station platform wondering whether to jump or pay
The chances always turn out to be fake
Before you know you're another washed up face

Unfortunate Nickname
03:15
|

Have you ever had a holiday
I know you've been abroad but have ever had to switch off that brain
It's always ticking away your always over strained not letting any minute get away
Drink another one to numb the pain
Always running away from any open space
Do you think you'll forget it in time or is it always round the corner waiting for you to give up the climb
We've all got something to say but we can't get through
Same shit everyday got too much for you
I never held out my hand
And now there's one less left standing
I thought I'd write a post to say,
How I'm sorry and I hate how we never hung out after you left and moved south I never once went out to meet you
You never once reached out to me
The blame once went both ways but now its only me that's left with that burden
And that's fucking too much for Facebook.
Let's have a drink for the Baron, Let's have a drink for the Baron tonight.

Repeating Myself
03:43
|
|||
We took all of the problems unsolved
We cant avoid, it's a path that never seems to end
We stood among the weeds watched them
Growing tall, defiant to the concrete spread
I wanted to climb the higher air on the mountain tops but my lungs give up too easily to even try and make my dead grandfather proud
The trying has left me tired out
I've been flying with both feet on the ground
It's blinding, I can't tell up from down
The lights go up, it's time to take bow
We talk of all the projects we've done, the hardships won, did it really get us anywhere
Yet here I am again in this place, repeating myself, one paddle left, a broken sail
Life went to quick I think I missed the stops
Got up too late and now its going to terminate
Fighting my head only with my heart it's just myself to blame
Because all I do is not enough
It's not enough
It's a story that'll make my grave
All my life spent chasing dust
Watching myself rust
It's all time I'll never get again
